Manuka Quek

An-Dian started learning the piano from the tender age of five and obtained a Grade 8 in Piano from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in 1997. She then proceeded to be admitted Associate in Solo Piano (ATCL) by the Trinity International Examinations Board in 2000.

Music has been much a part of An-Dian’s world. Besides mastering her piano-playing skills, she also learnt the violin, and played with the String Ensemble in her school (both at secondary school and college level) for a total of four years. In addition, An-Dian was a student under the Music Elective Programme. When she began her career as a teacher, An-Dian was also responsible for the String Ensemble Co-Curricular Activity, and was highly involved in organising concerts, as well as evaluating the musical talent of her students.

An-Dian has also had experience singing in the church choir group, as well as being a piano accompanist for the group, besides being an accompanist for instrumentalists and vocalists. She has also used the gift of music for community events. She is currently working closely with her husband, Matthew, on various collaborative projects.
