The Quek Musical Duo- the Return

Having launched five albums, the most recent one entitled "My Romance" which was produced by renowned Jazz musician Jeremy Monteiro, Matthew Quek, a prolific local singer, composer and actor, is staging this rare one hour live performance with his accomplished pianist sister Dorcas Quek. Together, the Queks have produced and composed original compositions which they will feature in this event too. Expect renditions of favorite hits from the Musicals (Wicked and even Glee), evergreen numbers by Bary Manilow as well as Mandarin golden melodies to commemorate the Mid Autumn Festival.

Dorcas and Matthew Quek will be staging a performance at the library@esplanade this Saturday 15th August 2009, from 6 to 7p.m. The performance is, of course, completely free. Besides singing songs from the album, they will introduce new numbers not performed before and may even include some "national" songs.
"My Romance" is featured on the most recent issue of the "Highway" (Automobile Association) magazine Matthew's latest interview with Lush 99.5 F.M Matthew is giving a special performance at 18 chefs (Biopolis) on Friday, 12th June 2009. Admission is free. This up and coming restaurant was set up by celebrated chef Benny and has been receiving rave reviews. Performance starts at 6.30 p.m to 7.30 p.m. So come down and enjoy the music and sample the amazing food. Benny cooks up a storm! Matthew will also sing at Library @Esplanade on Friday,19th June 2009. Admission is free
This is a joint collaboration with In tune Music school. Under the auspices of MTL (Musical theater limited), the resident theater group in the Arts House, Matthew will be performing with a few other star students from In tune music school. They will be performing favorite musical theater songs in both English and Mandarin. Matthew 's upcoming interview at Lush 99.5 F.M will be on 17th June 2009, from 6.30p.m to 7.15p.m. Do tune in!
Matthew featured on NTU MAGAZINE Matthew will be performing at the open house of Musical Theatre Limited (MTL) on the 5th June 2009 at 6.30p.m. It is held at the Arts House. He will also be contributing to MTL's walk in event at the Arts House @ 7p.m on the 6th June. His sister, Dorcas Quek, who is back from overseas, will be accompanying him on the piano from 7 to 8p.m
